Two for the Money - James Carr - Dark End of the Street/These Arms of Mine
OLD PA'S WEDNESDAY CLUB
THE GREATEST SOUL VOICE EVER ??
LOVE ATTACK
JAMES CARR - THE DARK END OF THE STREET
Getting new computer so just a quickie this week. Who was the greatest soul voice ever? You probably would go for Otis Redding and rightly so to. But if you have not heard James Carr then check him out NOW. He gets my vote, a little bit more refined than Otis and just a joy for theses old ears!
Tune Doctor Music Blog is like a time machine, albeit without the need for plutonium or speeding to 88 mph, It has the power to evoke vivid memories and summon long forgotten ones with the first few bars of a song.
I have a James Carr compilation that is impossible to pull one track from. It's one of those that you have to sit down and consume whole. Fantastic stuff. Good luck with the new technology Old Pa. My external hard drive blew a few weeks ago. I lost a lot of music and precious photos.
TS - we have all been there. Ever since I lost 'precious stuff' I have 2/3 external drives and back up back up so to speak. Mr Carr certainly delivers.
